WAUGH BITES
Since 2012 I've been adding long essays to this site. See a little further down the menu. There are almost a hundred essays here now, many of them well over 10,000 words. Maybe a million words in all. We're talking about the virtual equivalent of a shelf-full of books!
So to vary the pace I'm adding a section of smaller pieces, each dominated by a photograph or paragraph or incident or a foible or a throwaway remark or whatever, though my love for repetition - for variations on a theme - means that even these might run on for a bit.
So let's get the first few pages up there.
